Summer Math and Reading
As the school year comes to a close, the Department of Learning is excited to share resources to support your child's continued growth and engagement over the summer. We are so proud of all that our D181 students have accomplished this year to meet state standards, progress in the core content, and develop socially and emotionally.
We encourage you to create a balanced summer for your child, filled with fun in the sun, quality family time, new experiences, and time with friends, while also reinforcing the valuable skills they've learned this year. Wishing you and your family a wonderful and enriching summer!

5th Grade Celebration of Learning and Graduation
We are pleased to invite fifth grade families to the Fifth Grade Celebration of Learning and Graduation on Friday, May 30th, starting at 10:30 AM in the Elm School Gym. Doors will open at 10:15 AM to provide time for seating prior to the arrival of our fifth grade students.
At the conclusion of the celebration, we kindly ask that all guests remain seated while our fifth graders exit and return to their classrooms. Following this, we request that parents gather outside on the blacktop near the playground for student dismissal. Our fifth grade students will walk through the school hallways, receiving a warm “Clap Out” from our first through fourth grade students as they exit the building.
We eagerly anticipate celebrating a successful school year with our students and families on this special day! If you have any questions, please contact your child’s classroom teacher.
Thank you!
On behalf of the Elm School staff, I would like to thank our families and students for another great year. We appreciate the opportunity to work with your children and to assist them in reaching their goals, academic and otherwise. We hope that everyone has a restful and enjoyable summer. We will see you back in August for our first day of student attendance.
